••••BRAZILIAN LEMONADE••••
••••Key Lime Pie in a Glass•••
Brazilian Lemonade Recipe
This drink basically tastes like key lime pie in a glass.
Blending whole limes lets you extract flavor from the peel and the lime juice, creating a more full-bodied drink. If you don't want to deal with straining out the peel and pulp, you could just use the lime juice and add in a little zest before blending.
TOTAL TIME:
PREP:
LEVEL: EASY
YIELD: 4 SERVINGS
SERVES: 4
INGREDIENTS
- 3 limes
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 3 c. water
- 3 tbsp. sweetened condensed milk
- ice
DIRECTIONS
- Wash and quarter the limes, then add them to a blender with the sugar, water and sweetened condensed milk. Pulse until the limes are thoroughly chopped, then pour the mixture through a strainer to remove the peel and pulp.
- Serve juice over ice, or blend with ice for a more slushy-like consistency.
