••••GOLDEN BAKED ONIONS••••

*This recipe came from my dear mother-in-law Elizabeth. She is no longer with us-she will be surely missed by all of us!!
*This is a tribute to her and her love of cooking!!
•1/2 cup butter
•6 medium onions, sliced
•1 can(10-3/4) oz of cream of chicken soup
•1 cup milk
•3/4 pound grated Swiss Cheese
•+Salt and Pepper to taste
•+French Bread Slices
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 2 qt baking dish, sautรฉ onions in pan until tender.
2. Put onions in baking dish. Combine soup, milk, salt and pepper. Pour over onions. Sprinkle cheese. Dip bread slices in butter, arrange on top.
3. Bake 30 minutes or until brown.
